Shabby card for Mother's Day

Exactly a week left to Mother's Day (it's on the 26th of May in Poland)  so it's time to get my card on it's way!
Let's talk layers, shall we ;) I decided for a very shabby and very romantic card this year.

 Some close ups:

It looks like a million layers, mainly thanks to this gorgeous accordion base which I got at Papierowa Galanteria. I've only added some scraps of paper and paper doilies, along with some bits of real lace. The base cardstock itself is so decorative with its beautiful shabby creme tone that it doesn't need a full coverage-it even shouldn't have it :)
The paper scraps are from UHK Gallery Winter is coming-randomly coloured with pink watercolour and Perfect Pearls patina (blended with water) to reveal the resist patterns of the paper.
The beautiful roses are fussy cut stamped images using La Blanche stamps.
I had a great time playing with this card, no exact measures or anything, just playing with layers and colour :) Felt almost like art journaling ;)

Wishing you all a great week!

Come play with me - 7 Dots

Hello!
A happy mail arrived few days ago, including some new colours of Luminarte paints to my Twinkling family:)
I found a lovely inspiration on 7 Dots Studio blog so I picked one of the first spring photos of this year and had some really relaxing, creative time today.

7 Dots challenge theme is ' April showers bring May flowers' and there is an inspirational moodboard along with it.

What I love the most about April and May are the spring colours, which I've chosen  for this joyful layout. I also added some flowery stencil pattern in the background. There are no showers in my page, but there's quite a lot of water (colours) :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer memories

Thank you so much for your kind words under my last posts!
Today's entry is a continuation of my previous post and a LO swap which I'm playing with my friend Magda(i)Lena -this layout is featuring both our daughters. I took this photo when we and our girls first met IRL last summer. These are lovely memories!

I used supplies from Maja Design and my layout is inspired by Maja Design May moodboard

Thank you for spending a moment here and leaving some words!
Have a great week everyone!

Dance with your heart

I have something special to share today :)
Some time ago my friend Magda(i)Lena asked me to play layouts - I was overjoyed when I heard that since I know that layout is not her preferable form :)
Soulsisters as we apparently are, we very quickly came up with the idea of exchanging the photos of our daughters and create a LO-surprise which we would share with each other at the same time.
Sounds like fun? It certainly is!
I got a number of photos of her adorable DD and I picked the one where her ballet performance was captured. The inspiration came instantly when I had this photo printed.

Here's my LO, featuring a sweet & charming ballerina

I must say this layout came out exactly the way I pictured it in my head:)  I did a touch of mixed media, but very subtly in the background, so it would not dominate only delicately infuse some colour  and enhance the paper patterns.
Even the accents of kraft paper are here by purpose.Magda(i)Lena runs a small company Papierowa Galanteria producing awesome kraft supplies, so I wanted in some way to note that:)

I bet you are curious what did Magda do with the photo of my daughter? Check out her blog here!
Thank you for stopping by :)

Sunsoaked - Once Upon A Sketch May challenge

Hello Friends!
OUAS May sketch has gone live 3 days ago and already 8 entries are submitted, wow! This sketch is truly inspiring and this month the theme is totally up to you :)
I chose to make a layout about my DD's hair - no doubts she has her dad to thank for her beautiful blond hair. Blond is unusual in my family and her natural highlights are the source of delight for all my relatives :)
(journalling on the backside of my page)

Supplies: UHK Gallery, Prima, Luminarte Twinkling H2O, 7 Dots

If you haven't done it yet, please head over to OUAS blog to check the details of the May challenge and the variety of inspiration from our DT !

Journalling Theme: "Anything goes...."

Yes, you heard right.. this month you can create a layout about ANYTHING you like, but please do not forget our journalling rules..Read below..

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!

Have a lovely day everybody!

Perfect moment - Scrap Friends/kreative koncepts May sketch

Hey there:)
May is here, bring us a new share of inspiration on various blogs. First to go in my space is the new May sketch challenge at Scrap Friends/kreative koncepts. Really cool sketch to play with, you can interpret it is so many ways and try it out with different styles.
Here's my take on it:

Supplies: 7 Dots Studio, Viva Decor
I've created a masking pattern with a gel medium, which I have coloured with Viva Decor Inca Gold. To get more variation, I have also stamped the background with flourish and typed text background stamps.

Make sure to check out the sketch on SF blog and the variety of  inspiration from our regular and guest designers.

Thanks for popping in, wishing you a lovely day and weekend if you are lucky to be starting one right now - like we do here :D
